Light, Mirrors & Sensory Exploration

Another of the quieter spaces. Children explore light, transparency, colour, reflection, shadow, shape and pattern using mirrors, materials and our wonderfully old-school projector.

They notice what changes when light passes through an object, what happens when colours overlap, and how shadows grow and shrink as they move.

It is early science and mathematics—and it is also just beautiful. There doesn't always need to be a question to answer.

Sometimes it is enough to watch the colours dance across the wall.
